Grande shimmied her way through "Focus" at the 2015 American Music Awards, where she ditched her signature ponytail for a gorgeous, curly 'do and channeled her inner burlesque dancer.

Emerging from behind a red curtain in a glittering peach dress with a sky-high slit, Grande teased the audience by stripping off her long white gloves one at a time. Scooting back behind the curtain, Grande emerged once again in a mini-dress with a big band backing her.

Missing from the performance was Jamie Foxx, who lends his voice to the song's James Brown-inspired chorus. Grande opened up about the collaboration in an interview with ET last month.

"We were thinking who should say this part, who is the right fit?” Grande explained. "And we were like Jamie Foxx -- that would be crazy. I hate saying this, but 'my people' reached out to 'his people,' as they say, and it just sort of happened. And it just felt so right! It was so exciting. ... He definitely added that whole James Brown feel that we were going for."

In our interview, Grande also revealed how her grandmother inspired her platinum music video makeover. See what she said in the video below!
