Felicity Huffman is keeping it real.
The 53-year-old American Crime actress appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing Wednesday, when she opened up about her children with her husband, actor William H. Macy. The couple are parents to two teenage daughters, 15-year-old Sophia and 13-year-old Georgia.
"They are 13 and 15 now and I am still enjoying them, can you believe it?" Huffman laughed. "You know, in all honestly, I did not really enjoy them until they hit about seven or nine."
"I know, isn't that, like, you're not allowed to say that? But I did," she continued. "But yes, they're great, and I love them and stuff."
Huffman also admitted that her daughters are currently going through a little bit of teenage moodiness.
"They're really good kids, I really enjoy them," she said. "You know, there's that teenage high and low, and you kind of surf it, but I'm really used to it. I love women. I grew up in a huge house full of women, so I'm like, 'Oh yeah, you're hysterical now, I get it. Oh, now you're really sad. Oh, now you're really happy.' I'm like, 'Cool, bring it.'"
But there's one sure way Huffman said she gets her kids to do what she says -- by embarrassing them!
"I do this thing when we're out and they're giving me a little bit of grief, or they won't do what I say, or we can't come to an agreement, then I go, 'Wow, I sort of … I feel like dancing. I think I'm gonna dance,'" she laughed. "And they're like, 'Mom, mom, don't dance! I'll do it, I'll do it!'"
