The 1975 Frontman Matt Healy Says Dating Taylor Swift Would Be 'Emasculating'

Taylor Swift is not going to appreciate this!
The 1975 frontman Matt Healy sounded off on old rumors that he and the "Wildest Dreams" singer had made a romantic connection, blasting the prospect of dating Swift as "emasculating."
"I don't do anything else, right, so it doesn't leave a lot of room for me going out, or shagging someone. So the one time I did have a flirtation with a girl it ended up going everywhere," he said, vaguely hinting at the reports in an interview with Q magazine. Back in 2014, fans speculated that the musicians may have been seeing each other as Swift stepped out to attend two of Healy's shows.
"If I had gone out with Taylor Swift I would've been, 'F**king hell! I am not being Taylor Swift's boyfriend,'" he continued. "You know, 'F**K THAT.' That's also a man thing, a de-masculinating, emasculating thing."
No doubt about it: Swift is a fierce and powerful woman with a career that won't quit, a squad of A-list gal-pals, and a boyfriend that gives most people serious #relationshipgoals. But before Swift and EDM superstar Calvin Harris became an item, it was Healy who actually said that he was interested in dating the pop star!
"I met Taylor Swift, that was really nice," he told Shazam Top 20 in 2014. "We exchanged numbers. Let's see what happens. I mean, what am I going to do? Go out with Taylor Swift? She's a sensation. I wouldn't say no."
Swift and Harris recently celebrated their one-year anniversary, but the 32-year-old artist (and sometimes underwear model) has never been shy about doting on his lady in public. Just last month, after Swift nabbed three GRAMMYs for her groundbreaking 1989 album, Harris took to Instagram to congratulate his "beautiful girlfriend."
