'Bachelor' Ben Higgins Gets Stuck in Elevator During First Date in Denver With Lauren Bushnell

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell's first date in Denver, Colorado, was a far cry from their romantic tropical excursions on The Bachelor.

Towards the end of their date, Higgins went to get the couple's car from the parking garage and got stuck in the elevator. That's when his 26-year-old fiancee started Snapchatting.

Bushnell posted a video of herself repeatedly pushing the elevator's emergency button to alert someone. "Uh-oh! Honey?" she's heard saying. "We're going to get you out of here, OK?"

She then snapped a pic of a firefighter with the caption: "Poor Ben."

The 28-year-old Bachelor star did make it out of the elevator safely and Bushnell found the whole incident amusing. "Date night one. I'm OK," Higgins said in another Snap video. "Got stuck in an elevator on floor two in a parking garage."

Bushnell, giggling, quipped back, "No, it was like floor one and a half!"

Higgins also tweeted about being trapped in an elevator, writing: "Traumatizing! I'll never forget our first Denver date. @LaurenBushnell3 keeps laughing..."

He added: "Safe now but need a drink!"
