Walking while singing is apparently very tricky. Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato demonstrated this fact the hard way when they both wiped out on stage at recent concerts.

For Bieber, the particularly painful pratfall occurred Wednesday night during a stop on his Purpose tour in Kansas City, Missouri.

While performing his hit song, "Sorry," Bieber took a running start onto a stage covered in water from the massive downpour that is a signature element of his show. Bieber lost his footing and fell hard on his tailbone.

The incident was caught by a lot of fans videotaping the performance on their phones.

You have to hand it to the 22-year-old singer -- he recovered pretty well from what looked like a nasty spill.

However, he didn't recover nearly as gracefully as Lovato, who ended up falling after taking a small misstep while walking out on stage to greet her cheering fans at Thursday’s WE Day at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

While Bieber's water-soaked tumble made a bit more sense than Lovato's awkward stumble, the 23-year-old "Confident" singer made the best of an embarrassing situation by laughing and holding up her arms triumphantly as she lay on the floor.

Taking a spill on stage isn't anything new for Lovato. One of her wildest falls came while performing poolside at the WaterMarke Tower in Los Angeles, and she came inches away from slipping right into the water. Check out the adorably embarrassing moment in the video below.
