Looks like Demi Lovato couldn't keep her new pet cat after all.

ET caught up with the Confident singer at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, where she revealed that allergies caused her and "Hairy-ette" to sadly need to part ways.

"I couldn't keep the cat I had to give it back the next day because I am allergic," she told ET's Katie Krause. "I thought I wouldn't be because it doesn't have any hair but…"

Lovato documented her feline friend, plus the allergies it was causing her on Instagram, at the time hinting that she'd power through and try to keep the cat, writing, "So allergic it's not even funny but I'm keeping her 'cause zero f**ks."

The 23-year-old artist is gearing up for her Future Now tour with Nick Jonas, and shared with ET that she's working on music for her next album.

"My fans can expect new music and, you know, a great show," she said of what what she's got planned for the tour. Lovato did confirm that some of the new music is for the next record, but was mum on other details, saying, "I would love to, but I want to keep people guessing."

Meanwhile, Lovato used her Billboard performance platform to show major support for the transgender community.
