Real Housewives of New Jersey star Johnny "The Greek" Karagiorgis has died.

ET has confirmed that Karagiorgis died of a sudden heart attack on Saturday.

Karagiorgis and his wife, Penny Drossos-Karagiorgis, owned a hair salon in New Jersey, which has been seen on the reality TV show.

His friend, Dave Palladino, took to Instagram to share his condolences, writing, "Devastating!! Lost a good friend tonight! Johny The Greek @johnnythegrk rest well my firend #RIP #friend."

Jerseylicious star Anthony Lombardi also took to social media to remember the Garden State native. "RIP to a good friend and a great man Johnny the Greek," he wrote on Facebook.

In 2013, Karagiorgis filed a lawsuit after a brawl took place at the opening of RHONJ cast member Kim D's store, Porsche 2. The fight occurred after Joe Gorga approached Johnny to ask about remarks made towards Gorga's wife, Melissa.

This has been a difficult year for Drossos-Karagiorgis. In February, she also mourned the loss of her friend and fellow reality TV star, Big Ang.
