Bindi Irwin Shares Adorable Throwback Tribute to Her Dad: 'I Hope I'm Making You Proud'

The 17-year-old 'DWTS' champ had a sweet Father's Day message for her late dad.

Bindi Irwin isn't done showing us that she might be the sweetest young celebrity ever.

For the 17-year-old nature conservationist, Father's Day is understandably a particularly difficult holiday, and Bindi paid tribute to her late father, Steve Irwin, with an emotionally-charged throwback pic on Instagram.

The super cute snapshot shows her father waxing a surfboard and getting a little help from his adorable little girl. The former Dancing With the Stars champ captioned the pic, "I love you. I hope I'm making you proud."

Steve, best known for his TV series The Crocodile Hunter, was killed in 2006 when he was fatally attacked by a stingray in Australia while filming a nature documentary.

Bindi has long fought to honor and preserve the memory of her father, and dedicated many of her performances during her time on DWTS to him.

ET caught up with Bindi back when she was competing on season 21, where she opened up about her love for her father, sharing, "The meaning of life is unconditional love and I have that with my family," Bindi said. "I hope to be able to make Dad proud." Check out the video below to hear more.
