After rumors started swirling that the two were expecting a baby together in May, Brand took to Instagram on Friday to finally confirm the reports with a photo of himself reading Dean Beaumont's "The Expectant Dad's Handbook."

"Right then. My Mum bought me this," the Get Him to the Greek star captioned the pic. "Time to get ready! #trewlit #bookstagram #parenting."

Gallacher has yet to comment on the exciting news herself, but that hasn't stopped her sister, Kirsty, from publicly sending the parents-to-be well wishes. Earlier this month, the TV host took to Instagram to share a pic of her and her sibling posing next to each other and rocking matching flower crowns.

"Congratulations to my gorgeous sister @daisypoppets," the caption read, accompanied by three heart emojis.

Brand was previously married to Katy Perry. The two wed in October 2010, but he called it quits with the "Wide Awake" singer after 14 months via text message. During his first post-divorce interview with Howard Stern in July 2012, Brand got candid on the split, admitting the two had discussed starting a family together.

"I was really, really in love with her, but it was difficult to see each other," he explained of their long-distance relationship. "We were together when it was right to be together, and when it wasn't, we worked it out. It was a lovely relationship. It mostly didn't work for practical reasons."

"She's young, successful and dedicated," he continued. "[The reality is] you can't fully understand it until you do it. I was really into the idea of marriage and having children."
