The athletes have been dominating the women's gymnastics competition at the 2016 Rio Olympics, and their performances on Thursday were no different. Biles' final score was 69.198, 2.1 points ahead of Raisman and 3.533 points ahead of Mustafina. Her gold medal victory makes her an American all-around winner, joining the likes of Gabby Douglas, Mary Lou Retton, Carly Patterson and Nastia Liukin.

Douglas also competed with the "Final Five" in Rio, finishing third in the women's gymnastics preliminaries round. Unfortunately, she could not defend her title as all-around Olympic champion because of a rule that states each country is only allowed to have two compete in the finals.
