Gwen Stefani to Perform at the White House During Italy State Dinner

Gwen Stefani is headed to the White House.

The 47-year-old singer, whose father, Dennis, is of Italian descent, will be performing the soundtrack to the night's festivities during the Italy state dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Michelle Obama took to Snapchat on Wednesday to reveal the big news, also sharing that Mario Batali will serve as the evening's guest chef.

The Obamas will host Italy's prime minister, Matteo Renzi, and his wife, Agnese Landini, in what will likely be the Obama administration's last state dinner, according to the Washington Post -- so the president and first lady are sure to bring out all the stops, the stars, and maybe even Malia and Sasha Obama, who completely charmed us at their first state dinner in March.

With past guests like Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds,Will Ferrell, Allison Williams and Aziz Ansari, the upcoming state dinner is sure to be a star-studded affair, and with Stefani performing, we might just get an appearance by Blake Shelton.

While Shelton has yet to pop the question to his girlfriend of one year, fans seem eager to see the two walk down the aisle -- Ellen DeGeneres included.

On Friday's episode of her daytime talk show, DeGeneres joked to Stefani, "Before I make plans, because I make plans way ahead of time, tell me when you're getting married."

"You're crazy," she responded. "OK, I'll let you know."
