Tyga is taking big steps to pay off his debt to celebrity jeweler Jason Arasheben.

Arasheben sued the rapper back in 2013, claiming Tyga owes him an "excess of $270,000" in unpaid jewelry expenses. The jeweler's attorney, Danny Abir of Abir, Cohen, Treyzon and Salo, told ET on Tuesday that Tyga has paid $100,000 of the $200,000 owed to his client. Abir says Tyga plans to pay the other half by Nov. 17.

The latest development in the lawsuit comes after Tyga appeared at Abir's office on Oct. 18 for a scheduled debtors examination as planned, but fell ill two hours into questioning and was deemed "not well enough to proceed," Abir told ET last month. Abir also said the 26-year-old rapper didn't bring a number of documents that he was required to provide. Tyga was set to answer questions about his support of income to maintain his luxurious lifestyle, including the expensive gifts he's given his girlfriend, 20-year-old Kylie Jenner.

"Our client, Jason of Beverly Hills, has a judgment against [Tyga]," Abir previously explained to ET. "Until he pays off this judgment, unless he has other means of paying off this obligation and does, his sources of income used to buy these extravagant gifts or to support such a lifestyle should be used to satisfy his obligation. That potentially includes the gifts themselves."

Kylie was also looped into Tyga's legal problems in September, when she was summoned to answer questions under oath regarding her beau's financial issues.  In May, Kylie slammed reports Tyga owed her money. "Lies lies lies," she wrote in response to a tweet claiming he owed her $2 million.

Meanwhile, the couple is still going strong. Kylie and Tyga were together celebrating Halloween over the weekend, when Kylie had jaws dropping in her super sexy costume channeling Christina Aguilera in her memorable 2002 music video for "Dirrty."
