Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth
stepped out for a fun date on Saturday, hitting up the grand opening of their friend Vijat Mohindra's first solo photography exhibition.

The cute couple, who have only made a handful of public appearances since rekindling their romance earlier this year, snapped a number of selfies at the opening, which was held at the Museum as Retail Space in Los Angeles.

The 23-year-old singer rocked a 1960s-inspired canary yellow mini-dress with knee-high white boots and a smiley face handbag, while Hemsworth, 26, dressed down in a ballcap, a colorful, street-art-styled jacket and black skinny jeans.

Cyrus was also joined by her longtime friend Wayne Coyne, lead singer of the Flaming Lips, his girlfriend, Katy Weaver, and burlesque dancer Amazon Ashley.

"So proud of my bad ass mega photographer/friend @vijatm on his first solo gallery exhibition!" Cyrus wrote alongside a group pic she shared to Instagram.

Weaver seemed to have coordinated her nearly neon yellow look for the big night with Cyrus, sharing a snapshot with the singer that she captioned, "Yellow twins."

After calling off their engagement in September 2013, Cyrus, and Hemsworth reconnected in January. The two quickly sparked rumors that they were engaged again when Cyrus began wearing the same diamond ring Hemsworth gave her when he initially proposed in 2012.

Sitting down on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last month, the "Wrecking Ball" singer addressed the ring, sharing, "It's very weird because this is, like, real jewelry and most of my jewelry is made out of like gummy bears and cotton candy and they don't look that good together because they kind of mix up."

"So sometimes I replace it with an actual unicorn or a Looney Tune," she continued. "And he's like, 'What's going on?' And I'm like, 'Well, this isn't my aesthetic, but I'll wear it 'cause you love me.'" Check out the video below to hear more.
