Shannen Doherty continues to do the things she loves amid her battle with cancer.
On Tuesday, the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star shared a photo on Instagram of herself and mother Rosa holding an empty bowl. "#RadiationDay with my mom," Doherty captioned the selfie. "Came home and whipped her up some homemade tomato soup cause cooking relaxes me. I think she liked it."

The 45-year-old actress later reposted a selfie that her friend, Anne Marie Kortright, shared along with a heartfelt message. "I know I have told you over and over how amazed I am by your daily courage and strength, but once again you inspire me to be a better person and to appreciate the little things in life that we take for granted," Kortright captioned the photo of herself and Doherty. "You are a warrior and I have no doubt that like every other challenge in your life, you will conquer this. Know that you are inspiring me and every woman out there by sharing your journey. Love you to the moon and back."
"Love my girl," Doherty said in response.
During this trying time, the actress has received lots of support from her friends, family and former co-stars. Earlier this month, she was honored with the Courage Award at the American Cancer Society's inaugural Giants of Science Gala, and told ET that
she was accepting the award on "behalf of every single cancer patient out there because it takes a lot of courage."

"Courage isn't something that comes to you immediately," she said during her acceptance speech. "It's not something that you have fully. Courage is something that you gain and it grows. Courage is facing every day and every obstacle one step at a time. Courage is knowing that fear is not going to find a solution; it's not going to help you find a cure. Courage is embracing what you're going through and trying to get through it with as much dignity as you possibly can, while also accepting your circumstances and allowing yourself to feel everything."
