Lucky for Ed Sheeran, chicks dig scars.
While performing at a gala dinner for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) at the Natural History Museum in London, the musician had a noticeable scrape on his face. Sheeran admitted to the audience that he "got his face cut open," after several reports claimed that it was Princess Beatrice who accidentally cut him with a sword when the two were at a costume party, according to BBC News. The injury reportedly occurred during a mock knighting of James Blunt at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, the home of the royal's father, Prince Andrew.

"Anyone read about that?" Sheering asked the audience, referring to reports that alleged he needed 25 stitches after cutting his face.

Sheeran's performance on Wednesday night marked his return to the stage following an announcement last December that he would be "taking a break" from social media to travel the world. "This is the first time I've done a show in a year, so please bear with me," he told the audience. "It's nice to be back."

The 25-year-old singer's set included his hits "Thinking Out Loud," "Sing," "I See Fire" and "The A Team," as well as Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself," which Sheeran co-wrote but admitted that he'd never performed it live before.
In addition, Sheeran participated in the charity event's auction and snapped a selfie with a table of guests that paid nearly $8,000 for the photo opportunity. He also donated a drum kit to the auction, which went for $3,350.
Sheeran wasn't the only famous face at the event. According to BBC News, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was also in attendance.
