Dakota Johnson is "proud" of her and Jamie Dornan's performances in the erotic Fifty Shades films.

The 27-year-old actress covers the February issue of Vogue, and jokes with the magazine about the rumors she's heard regarding her relationship with Dornan. "We hate each other and we’re having an affair, so everybody’s right," she jokes. "How about that?"

In all seriousness, Johnson says she gets along quite well with her handsome co-star. "Jamie and I worked so incredibly closely for so long. There were no inhibitions, and it was very honest, very trusting," she says. "But I mean, what a gamble! What if he had turned out to be a total d**k?"

As for the nudity in Fifty Shades of Grey and Fifty Shades Darker, Johnson says she finds it necessary when telling the story of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey's sexual relationship. "I don’t want to see someone wearing a bra and underwear in a sex scene," she bluntly proclaims. "Let’s be honest about it. People are naked when they f**k."

"Will I stop doing nude scenes when my boobs start sagging? I don’t know," Johnson adds. "Maybe I have more of a European mind-set about these things."

Just as she portrays a woman new to the world of BDSM, Johnson admits that she too is exploring her own sexuality. "I’m fascinated by young women coming to terms with their sexuality," she shares. "I guess, by proxy, I have been experiencing that in my own life."

While Johnson seems to fully support the nudity in the highly sexual book-turned-movies, Dornan spoke exclusively to ET about whether fans will be seeing more of him inFifty Shades Darker, which hits theaters Feb. 10.
