While the True Jackson actress shares everything from pursuing her career and life lessons to coping with fame, it's a special phone call from none other than Will Smith that reminds her to never lose sight of her passion.

Listen to her reminisce about the call in chapter 10 of the book:

The 23-year-old Scream Queens star got candid during a Facebook Live promo for her book in December, reading a chapter out loud for her fans and answering their questions.

During the Q&A, the singer-songwriter also revealed that she had been a victim of sexual abuse.

"At the end of the day, it wasn't handed to me. At the end of the day, the cards were against me. At the end of the day, I did grow up on Section 8. At the end of the day, I have experienced abuse, sexual abuse," Palmer emotionally disclosed.

"The point is not to hide those things because when we hide those things, we stop other people from being able to envision that life for themselves," she added.
