“Maddie isn't quite ready to return to school, but her doctors did clear her to bring in her Valentine's Day treats to her class today,” Jamie Lynn captioned a photo of smiling Maddie dressed in a cute pink sweater and holding up Valentine's-themed chocolate bars. “Thanks to @avery and @hersheycompany for making these treats for her to pass out, since I didn't have the time to make any myself this year.”

“It made her so happy to see her friends, and be able to give them such cute treats,” Spears continued. “It was a great moment for us after everything that has happened. We are so thankful to celebrate Valentine's Day with the ones we love, and we don't take a second of it for granted ❤Happy Valentine's Day❤.”

The family faced a terrifying few days after Maddie was steering her off-road vehicle to avoid running over a drainage ditch near a pond on the family property in Kentwood, Louisiana, when she "overcorrected," and caused the vehicle to enter the pond on Feb. 5. According to a police report obtained by ET, she was submerged in water for two minutes.

After Maddie was discharged from the hospital on Friday, the former Zoey 101 star and her husband, Jamie Watson, both posted a photo of the trio boarding a helicopter to head home.

“We are headed home with our baby girl as she continues to recover,” they captioned their posts. “Above all else we are so thankful for each and every prayer, because we know that is what truly made the difference.

On Sunday, Maddie’s grandmother, Lynn Spears,  shared that the adorable girl was “getting better everyday.”
