Orlando Bloom got in the party spirit on Friday night, attending singer Chris Martin's lavish Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory-themed birthday bash in Malibu, California.

The sighting marks the 40-year-old actor's first appearance since announcing his split from Katy Perry.

Bloom -- who wore a bold printed shirt, black blazer and matching trousers -- was in pretty good company. Jay Z, Robert Downey Jr., James Corden, Rob Lowe and Aaron Paul were all spotted at the Coldplay frontman's 40th birthday party.

Last week, reps for both Bloom and Perry, 32, confirmed to ET that the two had separated after dating for about a year. "Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time," the joint statement read.

... Perhaps Bloom and Perry are taking a page out of Martin and ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow's book. The two have remained amicable since their divorce. In fact, Paltrow wished Martin a happy birthday via Instagram on Thursday, sharing a sweet selfie of the two with their children, 12-year-old Apple and 10-year-old Moses.

"HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY to the best daddy in the world!!!" Paltrow gushed. We [heart emoji] you so much!"
