Walker made his last appearance in the film's seventh installment, Furious 7. As fans of the franchise may recall, his character, Brian, left the team, retiring to be with his pregnant wife, Mia (portrayed by Brewster), and their son. The last scene of the movie is an emotional one, showing Brian and his partner in crime, Dom (Vin Diesel), bidding farewell to each other and driving off in separate directions.

"[Mia's] with Brian, so I can't think of a better place for her to be," Brewster said, when asked how she thinks her character is doing today. "In the seventh one, Mia was pregnant with a girl. So, I imagine they're on some island, on some idyllic island, just living the life. I think it was like Fiji they were talking about, and it was always the island life they wanted."

She said that although the entire cast has remained incredibly close over the years, no one will ever be able to replace Walker.

"I love Vin, I love Michelle [Rodriguez] ... but my friendship with Paul was definitely the highlight because he was the best guy," she explained. "So, the bond I had with him was definitely the best part."

The franchise will return to the big screen for the eighth time on April 14 with The Fate of the Furious. While chatting with ET last December, Diesel said the cast and crew have "felt the loss," but are "blessed" to have made another movie, one they think Walker would be "proud" of.
