Ben Affleck Has Moved Out of Home With Jennifer Garner, Here's How The Kids Are Dealing With It

The former couple continued to live on the same property after their 2015 separation.

Ben Affleck has moved out of his family home with Jennifer Garner.

A source tells ET that the 44-year-old actor has left the guesthouse at the family's Los Angeles-area home, where he has lived since the pair's 2015 separation.

"It has been a continual move for him over the past couple of weeks," the source reveals. "Ben and Jen wanted to make it a slow transition for their family and make sure the kids feel comfortable in both houses."

"You will still see moving vans, but Ben does not live in that house anymore," the source adds.

Garner filed for divorce on April 13, nearly two years after the pair announced their separation. According to the source, the family remains close emotionally and physically, as Affleck has moved into a house close to the one Garner shares with their three kids, 11-year-old Violet, 8-year-old Seraphina and 5-year-old Samuel.

"The kids are good. Ben and Jen are working closely together to make sure the kids are doing fine during this transition and that it doesn’t interrupt their lives too much," the source says. "They have their own traditions and things they’ll do together as a family still."

"This is their way of working on having it become two different households," the source continues. "They’ll spend time as a family and still continue to do things together with the kids."

As for whether the pair have stated dating other people, the source tells ET that Garner and Affleck "are not ruling out dating in the future," but "neither one of them is dating anyone seriously at the moment."

A source revealed to ET last month that Garner's divorce filming "was only a matter of time," but that both were "still 100 percent committed to co-parenting their children and making sure their family situation works for them all."
