The documentary film will be centered around "a notable figure in the music industry."

Oprah Winfrey has found her next big project.

The 65-year-old media mogul is teaming up with Apple TV+ to executive produce an untitled documentary that is to be released next year about "a notable figure in the music industry," according to a press release sent to ET on Tuesday.

"The film is a profound examination of race, gender, class and intersectionality, and the toll assaults take on their victims and society at large," reads the release.

Impact Partners, a company "dedicated to funding independent documentary storytelling," is also affiliated with the documentary, which will be headed up by Oscar-nominated filmmakers Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering.

Dick and Ziering earned critical acclaim for their 2012 film, The Invisible War, which investigated the epidemic of rape of soldiers within the United States military. They are also known for the 2015 doc, The Hunting Ground, which is an exposé of rape crimes on U.S. college campuses.

In addition to her work on this documentary, Winfrey also announced earlier this year that she and Prince Harry have teamed up for a docu-series about mental health.

"I truly believe that good mental health – mental fitness – is the key to powerful leadership, productive communities and a purpose-driven self," the Duke of Sussex said of his collaboration with Winfrey. "It is a huge responsibility to get this right as we bring you the facts, the science and the awareness of a subject that is so relevant during these times. Our hope is that this series will be positive, enlightening and inclusive -- sharing global stories of unparalleled human spirit fighting back from the darkest places, and the opportunity for us to understand ourselves and those around us better."

On CBS This Morning in April, Winfrey spoke further with Gayle King about how this project came about with the 35-year-old royal.

"Well, I was having a conversation with him. I asked a question, 'What do you think are the most important issues facing the world right now?' He said there are two, climate change and mental wellness and mental fitness," she shared. "As you know, he’s spoken about his own issues of what he went through after his mother [Princess Diana] died and how being able to talk about it has benefited him. So, it’s a passion of his, and at the end of the conversation, I said, 'Oh, I will be doing this thing with Apple. It’s a big concern of mine too, and I want to try to erase the stigma.'"
