Saoirse Ronan's real-life mother was with her in spirit during Sunday's Golden Globe Awards.
The Lady Bird star adorably shouted out to her mom after winning the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, revealing that she was actually in the room watching her speech in real time via FaceTime.
"My mom's on FaceTime over there on someone's phone," Ronan told the crowd. "Hi!"
The 23-year-old actress, who embodies one half of a complicated mother-daughter relationship in Greta Gerwig's acclaimed film, went on to thank "all of the women who I love so much in my own life, who support my every single day," once again calling out her mother as well as her date, her best friend, Eileen.
"I just want to say how inspiring it's been to be in this room tonight," she added.
Moments before her win, presenters Jessica Chastain and Chris Hemsworth couldn't help acknowledging the all-female category by poking fun at Hollywood's wage gap and the ongoing fight for equality in the workplace.
"I am so happy to announce that the winner of this category will also receive the 23 percent of her salary that went missing in the wage gap," Chastain quipped. "It's not a problem, as we've saved so much money kicking people out of Hollywood this year."
Hemsworth agreed wholehearted, adding: "In response to everything that's going on in today's world, we've decided to remove all the men from this category."
