Hard work (outs) are paying off for Tia Mowry!

The Family Reunion star took to Instagram on Tuesday to share how far she has come with getting back into shape after giving birth 18 months ago.

Mowry posted two videos showing herself exercising, with Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls)” playing in the clips. She then explained how she was finally starting to feel like herself again.

“Embrace yourself, ladies!” she wrote in the caption. “ESPECIALLY after childbirth!! It took me #18months to start feeling myself again. #swiperight to see the #progress. #selfcare isn’t #selfish ?? #2020 #selfcareisntselfish Music- #whorunstheworld @beyonce.”

In a recent interview with ET, Mowry shared how rewarding she finds it to use her social media platform to inspire others, noting how great it is to see positive feedback from fans on such posts.

“That’s what drives me,” she said. “The first time I ever became vulnerable was when I shared my endometriosis. I was very scared to do that because we live in a society that celebrates perfection. We’re not really open to embracing our flaws. I was afraid of showing and expressing my gliche, my flaw.”

“But what really made me change my mind was my story was too wonderful and it’s all about seeing food as medicine and how changing my diet really helped my existing condition. I can't keep that all to myself,” she continued. “I want to inspire, share [hope] with other women, so that’s why I did it. And, with the Christmas movie that I did, I had just [had] my daughter and still had my belly. I wanted [people] to see I did a movie -- I didn't wait until I lost 20-30 pounds. Just because you have a baby and don’t look perfect, it doesn't mean you can't continue to do what you love to do.”

While Mowry has worked hard to get her body back, welcoming her second child, daughter Cairo, has also come with other struggles.

She recently opened up about her battle with postpartum depression in a cover interview for Romper’s holiday issue. The actress explained that following Cairo’s birth, her husband, Cory Hardrict, went out of town to film a television show and she found herself wallowing in sadness, tears and anxiety while dealing with two young children alone.

“When I knew that I had postpartum [depression] … I didn’t want to admit it,” she said. “It was that shame. I told my sister about it. I told my husband about it, and I told my friends about it. They became my support system. So, when I was sad or going through my emotions, I would talk about it. I didn’t suppress them. I think that helped.”

Mowry said being at work, where it wasn’t all “about your boobs and a baby,” also helped her through the depression, which lasted a few months.

During her latest chat with ET, Mowry got candid about other challenges involved with becoming a mother of two, like helping her 8-year-old son, Cree, adjust to no longer being the only child.

“At first it was hard for him because he was the king of the house for eight years and then here comes this beautiful princess,” she explained. “I felt so terrible because I didn't know I was doing it and my son was like, 'Mommy, you give Cairo more kisses than me.’ I literally had to readjust and be like, 'OK, Tia, you have to be careful about what you are doing in front of him.’”

“But he has fully adjusted and he's the best big brother in the world,” she continued. “I think what's really helped is being mindful of what I'm saying in front of him, trying to keep it equal and also explaining to him that she needs more attention because she can't do the things [he] can do. And, also incorporating him into the routine. So, he'll help with throwing away the diaper -- if it’s the poopy one he's like, ‘No, I don't want to do that!’ But helping me get the bottles and watching her and doing all that -- he is amazing.”

As she prepares to celebrate the holidays with her two children and Hardrict, Mowry also stars in Lifetime’s recently released Christmas flick, A Very Vintage Christmas. Her Netflix series, Family Reunion, also releases a Christmas special on Dec. 9.

As for whether fans can expect a Sister, Sister reboot from Mowry and her sister, Tamera, Mowry was unsure.

“It’s hard for me to say ‘never say never’ because I feel like I'm putting that into the universe," she said. “I'm a huge believer in what you say is what you get, so I'm saying never say never, but as it stands right now, there's nothing to report. There are no conversations [about a reboot.] But like I say, who knows? Look what happened with Will & Grace.”
