Kirstie Alley Returns to TV with New Sitcom

By

TV veteran Kirstie Alley is returning to television in her brand new show on TV Land, Kirstie.

Kirstie invited ET to her set, and host Nancy O'Dell sat down with her and the other illustrious cast members of this ensemble show, including Seinfeld's Michael Richards, former Cheers cast-mate Rhea Perlman and noted stage actor Eric Petersen.

The show follows Kirstie's character Madison Banks, a hugely-famous Broadway star, whose life is thrown into disarray when Arlo, the son she gave up at birth, comes looking to reconnect with his biological mother after his adoptive parents pass away.

Rhea Perlman plays Madison's personal assistant, while Michael Richards plays her devoted limo driver, and the two of them convince Madison to give Arlo a chance.

The show's strong cast is impressive in its own right, but its guest stars have been out of this world, including Jason Alexander, George Wendt and Kirstie's longtime friend John Travolta.

"So far our guest stars are mostly our good friends," said Alley, when asked how she gets such impressive actors in guest roles. "Everybody's been so nice. We didn't have to ask very much."

"But now, on our next [guest star wish list], we might have to do things. Like, sex things," Kirstie joked.
