'Glee's Final Season: Rachel's Ready to 'Let It Go' and Return to McKinley!
By Leanne Aguilera
Be still our Glee-loving hearts.
The sixth and final season of Fox's hit musical comedy is set to finally debut with a special two-hour premiere on Jan. 9, and we're currently counting down the seconds until we can reunite with our favorite
Luckily the TV gods have gifted fans with the very first promo from the final season, and it's got us feeling both extremely excited and emotional as we prepare to let it go and say goodbye.
In the jam-packed preview above, Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Rachel (Lea Michele) confront Sue (Jane Lynch) with their newest musical mission: "We're bringing back the glee club," Rachel confesses with a tone of defiance.
That's right! Not only is the glee club coming back, but it's looking like fans can expect a whole class full of familiar faces.
Santana (Naya Rivera) is back shaking it with her cheerio champions…
And she brought Brittany (Heather Morris) too!
Blaine (Darren Criss) is back moving and grooving with his Dalton Academy Warblers….
And of course, Rachel is back with her spotlight. (P.S. How fantastic is it that Michele is covering Frozen's "Let It Go"? Not only does the song sound flawless, but the smash single was originally sung by the lovely Idina Menzel — aka Shelby Corcoran, Rachel's on-screen momma! Fingers crossed we'll get some more Menzel and Michele duets in this final season)
Long story, short: We're reuniting and it feels so good!
Catch the two-hour premiere of Glee Friday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
