Extreme Weight Loss trainers Chris Powell and his wife Heidi are turning their focus on couples preparing for their wedding on a new three-part special, Extreme Weight Loss: Love Can't Weight.

Tiffany and Cain have gained 150 pounds since meeting each other four years ago, and ET spoke to Chris and Heidi about their emotional challenge to help the couple shed the weight before they say "I do."

"Addicts feed upon other addicts," Chris said, claiming that Tiffany and Cain were -- in his opinion -- food addicts. "As much as they love each other, they can be each other's enemy."

With Cain weighing 357 pounds and Tiffany weighing 260 pounds, they would like to lose up to half their body weight before the wedding, but food isn't the only thing troubling Cain.

"Cain has a gambling addiction," Chris told ET. "It doesn't help that he's a casino executive as well. It's something that he's struggled with for years. He lost all of his savings. He actually lost their money together."

Three couples are featured in the special, but not all of them have a happy ending.

"Two of the three [couples] considered breaking up at one point," Heidi said. "One of them actually didn't make it to their wedding."

Extreme Weight Loss: Love Can't Weight premieres June 23 at 9 p.m. PT/ET on ABC.
