During Wednesday's Wheel of Fortune, the contestant’s geography skills were put to the test after he and his wife Keri correctly solved the prize puzzle, "Gondola Ride Through Venice."

As the couple celebrated the win, host Pat Sajak lobbed them a softball question, asking, "What country do you think we're sending you to?"

"Paris," David answered to laughs from the studio audience.

Then, realizing that Paris isn't a country, he confidently changed his answer.

"France," he declared.

"Do we still get it?" David's wife Keri asked, after realizing both answers were wrong.

After catching his breath from laughing so hard, Sajak confirmed that the couple would still get their trip to Italy.

The couple wound up winning $60,432.
