EXCLUSIVE: Billy Ray Cyrus is 'Still the King' in New CMT Show -- See the Hilarious New Trailer!
Billy Ray Cyrus is coming back to TV!
The singer and actor is returning to the small screen in a hilarious new role, playing a slightly-less-wholesome father figure than his doting dad character from Hannah Montana, Robby Ray Stewart.
In Still the King, which premieres June 12 on CMT, Cyrus plays “Burnin’” Vernon Brown, a former country star turned Elvis impersonator, fake preacher, and parolee.
“I’m like Phoenix,” Vernon quips in the new trailer, though he’s not talking about the mythological bird. “Like the city: hot, dirty, and old women love me.”

However, when the washed-up rocker finds out he has a 15-year-old daughter, Charlotte (Madison Iseman), with a woman he once hooked up with in a carnival Porta-Potty, his whole life takes yet another hilarious turn.
The series also stars Joey Lauren Adams, Mean Girls’Lacey Chabert, The Office’s Leslie David Baker, Kevin Farley and more.
Still the King premieres Sunday, June 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CMT.
