Could two of our favorite NBC shows be getting a crossover? Chrissy Metz certainly hopes so!

We recently sat down with the This Is Us star and she confessed that she's keeping her fingers crossed that future episodes will be less "tear-jerking" and more comedic.

"I'm not always drained, but [sometimes] it's like, 'Can we do a musical episode?'" the 36-year-old actress pitched to ET's Kevin Frazier."Can we crossover with Will & Grace?"

Umm… yes, please!

"It's just an idea!" Metz continued with a laugh. "Wasn't Jack an actor? Kevin is an actor. Were they not in New York? Guys, I'm just putting it out there."

And we're totally picking up what you're putting down, girl!

Luckily for Metz, her This Is Us co-star and on-screen love interest, Chris Sullivan, keeps her smiling all day on set, even through those heartbreaking moments. "Chris and I, we work so often together, and he's so much fun," she gushed. "We sing through between takes and we act up, and we just work so well together."

But if you think that Metz doesn’t get choked up just like all of us when she's watching each episode, think again!

"Typically, we will all individually go watch the show before it airs and I shouldn't watch the show with anybody," she confessed. "I should only watch it alone because I sob. Sob, snot, sobbing. It's not cute."

"It's cathartic but it's not cute," she added.

This Is Us airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
