EXCLUSIVE: Vicki Gunvalson Apologizes to Co-Star Shannon Beador for Causing Stress, Weight Gain: 'I'm Sorry'

'The Real Housewives of Orange County' star tells ET she takes responsibility for contributing to Shannon's troubles.

Vicki Gunvalson is ready to apologize.

On the new season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon Beador partially blames Vicki for her recent 40-pound weight gain, citing Vicki’s alleged claims that Shannon’s husband, David, has abused her in the past. Shannon has denied any abuse by her husband.

“That stress caused me to eat more, caused me to drink more,” Shannon shared on the season 12 premiere. “That's a huge part of why I gained my weight.”

“I'm sorry,” Vicki tells ET. “You know, I'm sorry that you feel that way and I don't want to cause her any stress … If I'm responsible for it, I'm really, really sorry. I don't want anything bad for Shannon and David. I actually want them to have a happy, healthy marriage. I told her that from the very beginning when she confided in me on their situation.”

Shannon and David’s marriage publicly survived David having an affair in 2015, when Shannon and Vicki were still close friends. Going into season 12, Vicki and Shannon were not speaking at all.
