At the start of the 2014 CMT Music Awards, the stage was already pretty packed with ZZ Top, Luke Bryan and the boys of Florida Georgia Line all performing a medley of hits including La Grange and This Is How We Roll. As if that wasn't enough, the audience's energy really went through the roof when R&B star Jason Derulo showed up on the stage to sing his hit Talk Dirty. ET got to chat with the singer about how this collaboration came about.
"I'm a big fan of country music, and I'm a big fan of music in general," Derulo, 24, told ET on the Nashville red carpet. "So, I really think today is going to be a celebration of just that."
The singer joked, "I'm on stage with Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line. Before I met them I was fans of their work, but actually getting to meet them and hang out, they're absolutely nuts, crazy, just like I am. It works so well."
