In a new behind the scenes look at the creative process of bringing it all together, Harris shows the hard work and prep that goes into a successful show. He also teases what might be in store. “There will be a musical number at some point in the show. I’m a magician so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a hint of magic,” Harris teases, adding “I fear I’ve said too much.”
While there’s a lot to be excited about and even much more to worry over, Harris recently admitted it’s not as bad as being nominated.
“I’ll admit that I’m nervous to host, but it’s much less pressure than being a nominee, having to go down a red carpet filled with prognosticators saying, ‘I think it’s your night! I can smell it!’” Harris writes in a short essay for theT Magazine. “Then you’re sitting in your chair, your heart’s pounding and you have 15 names that you pray to God you don’t forget — and your name’s not called. Or, even stranger, your name is called, and you’re blinded by adrenaline and panic. That’s much more nerve-racking to me than going out and saying, ‘Our next two presenters are the stars of this movie, please welcome Brad and Angelina.’”
