This fan theory is sweeping the Internet!

Sam Smith, is that you?

On Monday, Twitter user @jesse21valona blew minds by posting a video of a vinyl recording of Adele singing "Hello" off her 25 album. When the song is slowed down, Jesse notes that the 29-year-old songstress sounds a whole lot like Sam Smith.

The revelation is taking the internet by storm and this one tweet already has over 125,000 retweets.

Jesse also slows down Adele's "Million Years Ago" to further prove that her voice resembles the "Too Good at Goodbyes" singer.

However, Smith doesn't seem amused with the comparisons to Adele. In a 2015 interview with Rolling Stone, the 25-year-old singer admitted that he was in fact a bit bothered by the correlation.

"It just annoys me that people can't digest two pop stars singing really personal songs who don't look like normal pop stars," he said.

While at this year's GRAMMYs, Smith assured fans that his new music will still be a bit "melancholy" despite him being happy in his love life.

"I just look at things in a melancholy way sometimes, which is, I think, really healthy, actually, as long as I don't bring it into my everyday life and keep it in the studio. It's good," he shared with ET. "I listen to even sadder music, normally -- really deep stuff."
