Emmy Rossum and the Duchess of Cambridge are two lovely ladies in red.

Rossum wore a show-stopping sleeveless red dress by British designer Preen to her recent bridal shower in Los Angeles, and if the dress looks familiar to you, there's a reason. Kate Middleton wowed in the same number at a reception during the Royal Tour of Canada with her husband, Prince William, on Sept. 26.

But the 30-year-old Shameless star was actually first to wear the dress -- Rossum's bridal shower was on Sept. 25, a day before Middleton wore the same exact design. Rossum is marrying Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail, and tagged all her Instagram photos with the cute hashtag, "#youvegotesmail." The two got engaged last August.

While Rossum chose to wear the red dress with nude heels, the 34-year-old Duchess boldly chose to pair the pleated number with equally striking cherry red heels. The mother of two also added Queen Elizabeth's diamond maple leaf broach for a unique touch.

... We think both brunettes look pretty amazing in the stunning dress.

Of course, Rossum isn't the only celeb to memorably wear the same dress as the Duchess. Drew Barrymore chose the same $1,500 shimmering Tory Burch number as the fashionable royal in April, and last October, Caitlyn Jenner wore the Duchess' hard-to-get blue Issa dress she wore for her engagement pics with Prince William all the way back in 2010.

Most recently, Amal Clooney wore the same Alexander McQueen patterned dress as the Duchess earlier this month.
