The 47-year-old filmmaker has been incredibly upbeat about his recovery since his massive heart attack in late February.

Looking good, Kev!

Kevin Smith has been on an incredible health journey since suffering a massive heart attack in late February, and his dedication is paying off.

The 47-year-old filmmaker revealed via Twitter on Friday that he's already lost nearly 30 pounds.

"Down 26 pounds today! Started March 8th and now 4 weeks later, I’ve lost a small child worth of weight! Doc told me to lose 50 pounds and I’m now over halfway to that goal!" he wrote of his morning weigh-in.

He concluded his tweet with a statement that seems surprising but is very much in line with Smith's sense of humor and upbeat attitude: "Ironically, this heart attack was the best thing that ever happened to my health!"

He shared the same photo of himself in a backward white baseball cap and navy blue shirt, his face noticeably slimmer, on Instagram, where he added that he has been following the Ray Cronise program at the recommendation of Penn Jillette. Not only has Smith been following what he describes as "a pretty intense program," his daughter, Harley Quinn, is thrilled that her dad has committed to becoming a vegetarian.

"My kid is thrilled because she’s a vegan, 'She’s like, 'Welcome home, brother,'" he shared on his Hollywood Babble-On podcast recorded March 17, adding that the decision "doesn’t come from a personal philosophy, this comes from an 'I have to.'"

And the weight is certainly coming off fast! Just last week, the Clerks director -- who lost around 90 pounds over seven years before his heart attack -- told fans he was down "20 pounds in 13 days & my blood pressure is amazing."

Just as incredible? Smith even discovered he can still fit into the coat he sported as Silent Bob in 1999's Dogma.

"I was hesitant to try it on because I didn’t think I had a Dogma body anymore," he wrote on March 13 while cleaning out his office closet. "But it turns out I currently only weigh 5 pounds more than I did when I made the movie - so voila! The coat still fits! Maybe I’ll wear this vintage bad boy when we finally shoot the sequel to ‘01’s."

The Jersey guy amazingly hasn't let a major health scare slow him down. Not only has he been all over social media promoting his endeavors, including Hollywood Babble-On and Fatman on Batman podcast recordings in Los Angeles, Smith headed to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, earlier this week to spend time in the happiest place on Earth with his wife, Jennifer, and daughter.

"You just survived a heart attack! What do you wanna do next? 'I'm going to @disneyland!'" he captioned a photo with Jennifer and Harley Quinn. “Yesterday we took a family trip together for the first time in years to the happiest place on Earth, to celebrate my still being alive (and to do research)!"

"We spent 7 hours going on every ride in the park except Splash Mountain and Dumbo (both closed for repairs), the Tea Cups, and the Indiana Jones adventure," he added. "When we first moved to California in 2002, Jen and I would bring a young @harleyquinnsmith to @disney at least once a month. So yesterday’s trip to the #magickingdom was not only good for the heart, it was good for the soul!"

Here's to sending Smith good vibes as he keeps up the hard work -- and to many more trips to Disneyland!
