Can't wait to discover the secret of 'Super 8'? The sci-fi adventure from writer/director J.J. Abrams and producer Steven Spielbergopens nationwide on Friday, but fans can catch the film early when it opens on over 300 screens nationwide Thursday.

'Super 8' will open exclusively tomorrow, June 9, on over 300 screens nationwide, featuring all 239 IMAX playdates in the U.S. and Canada. 'Super 8' follows a group of friends (including Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths and Elle Fanning) in a small Ohio town in 1979 who witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 horror movie. They learn that the catastrophe was no accident, and in short time unusual disappearances and inexplicable, supernatural events reveal something more terrifying than any of them could have ever imagined.
