Reese Witherspoon, 38, has already nabbed an Oscar for her role as June Carter in 2005's Walk the Line, but if her next drama The Good Lie lives up to its early buzz, she could soon be a repeat winner.
Only ET has your first look at Reese's new film, which is based on the real-life story of a young refugee of the Sudanese Civil War who wins a lottery for relocation to the U.S. with three other "lost boys." Encountering the modern world for the first time, the refugees develop an unlikely friendship with a brash American woman (Reese Witherspoon) assigned to help them.
Check out the video for your first look at Reese's new tear-jerker.
The Good Lie is set to hit theaters October 3.
