In ETonline's exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the exciting animated feature, the "Hips Don't Lie" singer opens up a bit about her "fun" character, Gazelle -- a mononymous pop star (who also happens to be a gazelle).
"She's charismatic but she's also very aware," the 38-year-old singer shared. "She's socially aware. She feels responsible for her people and she stands up for them when they need her."
Shakira also provides her musical talents on the film's soundtrack with the original song, "Try Everything."
"[It's] a song about being unafraid of your dreams and the size of your own dreams," Shakira said, "and being able to fight for them and follow them."
"More than once I've found myself by myself on a couch watching Disney movies with a big jar of popcorn," Shakira said. "But I also think it's very cool now to brag to my son about my connection to Mickey Mouse."
