Robbie and Ayer are still hot off the success of Suicide Squad, which grossed over $745.6 million to become the 13th highest-grossing superhero movie of all-time domestically. A Squad sequel is reportedly in development.

The upcoming movie will expand on the Sirens comic series, which put a spotlight on Batman's female nemeses such as Quinn, Catwoman and Poison Ivy.

In addition to her starring role, Robbie is also executive producing the project.

Earlier this year, Robbie revealed to ET that she left an indelible mark on her Squad castmates by giving them tattoos.

Co-star Will Smith, who is usually game for anything, told ET that's where he drew the line.

"I'm a grown-a** man," Smith, 48, said with a laugh. "Margot comes bounding into work with all of her 24-year-old glory like, 'Guys! Guys! I got a tattoo gun! I got a tattoo gun! We're all getting tattoos!' I was like, 'No, we're not.'"
