Remember that Britney Spears holiday classic? Oh, you don't?

Not every Christmas song can be “All I Want for Christmas Is You” — 20 years later and everyone is still playing it. All of the time. For every Mariah Carey, there are 15 other pop stars whose Christmas songs didn't quite stick. These are those 15 pop stars:

1. Britney Spears - “My Only Wish (This Year)”

This one actually is considered a classic — to a certain subset of die-hard Britney Spears fans. Choice Lyric: “Can't be alone under the mistletoe/ He's all want and a big red bow / Santa, can you hear me?”

2. Backstreet Boys - “It’s Christmas Time Again”

Sixteen years after BSB released “Christmas Time,” they tried again for a hit with sequel “It’s Christmas Time Again.” Naturally. Choice Lyric: “When the snow is falling down, down, down / You know that Santa's back in town, town, town.”

3. *NSYNC - “I Don't Wanna Spend One More Christmas Without You”

*NSYNC does have a fairly famous Christmas song — “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” — and an entire Christmas album, but their first attempt wasn’t as successful. Choice Lyric: “This is the time of year, that we learn to give / And the greatest gift is learning to forgive.”

4. Destiny’s Child - “8 Days of Christmas”

Let’s be honest, if Beyoncé released an original Christmas song these days, it would be an instant hit. But this modern (at one point) take on “The Twelve Days of Christmas” is not. Choice Lyric: “On the eighth day of Christmas my baby gave to me / A pair of Chloe shades and a diamond belly ring.”

5. Christina Aguilera - “Xtina’s Xmas”

Yes, Christina Aguilera has a real song that’s really called “Xtina’s Xmas,” from an album called My Kind of Christmas. Xtina's kind of Christmas mostly just = dancing. Choice Lyric: “It's Christmas time (It's Christmas time) / It's Christmas time (Christmas time)”

6. Hilary Duff - “Santa Claus Lane”

Hilary’s first album was actually a Christmas album, which featured duets with the likes of Christina Milian, Lil Romeo, and (obviously) Haylie Duff. Choice Lyric: “I went for a walk as the snow came down / And when it stopped I was in a different town / And the sign said have no fear, you’re not lost your here!”

7. Jessica Simpson - “My Only Wish”

Unfortunately, this isn’t a cover of Britney’s “My Only Wish (This Year).” It’s an original on Jessica's second Christmas album, Happy Christmas. (The first was ReJoyce: The Christmas Album.) Choice Lyric: “Your love means more than colored lights, more than snowy winter nights / A present any shape or size can’t match the beauty of your eyes.”

8. Lady Gaga - “Christmas Tree”

A very Merry Christmas for Lady Gaga includes samples of “Deck the Halls,” a feature by Space Cowboy, and lots of not-so-subliminal sex messages. Choice Lyric: “Light me up with me on top let's falalalalalalala / The only place you wanna be is underneath my Christmas tree.”

9. Rihanna - “It Just Don't Feel Like Xmas (Without You)"

This Rihanna original appeared on Now That’s What I Call Christmas! 3. Imagine the gems that collection holds. Choice Lyric: “I can hear the music playing / See the lights upon the tree / I can feel the joy in every soul / But for me it’s incomplete.”

10. Danity Kane - “Home for Christmas”

To be fair, most people have probably forgotten about Danity Kane altogether. Choice Lyric: “Have you put up the tree? / Hanging mistletoe just to kiss me / Dress like Santa so the kids wont know we bought the presents.”

11. Taylor Swift - “Christmas Must Be Something More”

Taylor Swift put out a collection of Christmas songs called Sounds of the Season: The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection. This was a kind of keep-Christ-in-Christmas anthem. Choice Lyric: “You'd see that today holds something special / Something holy, not superficial / So here's to the birthday boy who saved our lives.”

12. Justin Bieber - “Christmas Eve”

Nothing off the Biebs’s Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, stood the test of time, but at least this hump-happy holiday song was funny? Choice Lyric: “So I'm entering the top of your roof, them sleigh bells is ringing / I'll be up all night with you, them carols are singing.”

13. Ariana Grande - “Snow in California”

Ariana Grande’s new Christmas song, “Santa Tell Me,” isn’t her first: She tried her hand at Christmas music last year with an EP called Christmas Kisses. Choice Lyric: “Dear Santa, it's me Ariana / I know it's been awhile but I really need / Your help this year.”

14. Meghan Trainor - “I’ll Be Home”

“All About That Bass” this is not. Choice Lyric: “Santa called to make sure I'm prepared / He said ‘Wrap the gifts with all your love and care’ / The wind blows the snow up in the sky / But I won't let the wind delay my flight.”

15. Sisqo - “Perfect Christmas”

DID YOU KNOW SISQO HAD A CHRISTMAS SONG?

It’s no “Thong Song (XXXmas Edition)” but check out ET’s holiday playlist:
