NEWS: Jimmy Fallon Didn't Know He Dated Nicole Kidman

On Tuesday's Tonight Show, Jimmy and Nicole reminisced about their first meeting years ago. While Jimmy thought of it as more of a business meeting, Nicole's intentions were to hang out and possibly more.

"I just remember I liked you," Nicole said on her Tonight Show appearance. "Wait ... what?" a surprised Jimmy said in response, adding, "Did I date Nicole Kidman?!"

According to Nicole, none of that story was for show.

"Everything that happened was totally real," she confirmed to ET.

While the video has quickly caught fire, Nicole admits that she regrets being so candid.

"People texted me [afterwards]," Nicole told Jason. "People have given me such s**t."

Nicole was appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her upcoming film Paddington.

The book-turned-movie follows the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear, voiced by Colin Firth, with a passion for all things British. He travels to London in search of a home, and after finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he meets the kind Brown family (Hugh Bonneville and Sally Hawkins), who read the label around his neck: "Please look after this bear. Thank you." In the movie, Nicole plays an evil taxidermist.
