Andrew Garfield is a poet and Emma Stone knows it!
While the actress usually keeps pretty mum about her relationship with Andrew Garfield, she couldn't help but gush over her Amazing Spider-Man co-star while chatting with fellow Woody Allen leading lady Diane Keaton for Interview magazine.
Keep in mind, this interview was done in March, before Garfield and Stone reportedly broke up.
Calling out Garfield's admiration for Stone, Keaton repeated a review the actor gave about her acting abilities.
"Andrew Garfield said, 'Working with Emma was like diving into a thrilling, twisting river [Stone laughs] and never holding on to the sides. From the start. To the end. Spontaneous. In the moment. Present. Terrifying. Vital. The only way acting with someone should be,'" Keaton recited to Stone. "My God. I mean, what did you feel when you heard such a dream-come-true observation?"
Returning the compliment, the 26-year-old actress responded, "He is such a poet. [laughs] But that's the way he writes in general. So I hear it and of course my heart swells up. And I also know that he writes things like that on a daily basis. [laughs]."
Surprised at Garfield's secret talent for poetry, Keaton exclaimed, "No way."
Stone assured her, "Yes, he does. He's so poetic."
As for the type of person Stone is drawn to when it comes to relationships and friendships, she says "the more unique the better."
"When you feel that a person is being true to how they want to look or what their face is, I think there's something about the acceptance of oneself that I can feel from people," she said. "That tends to be what I'm attracted to."
