Jimmy Fallon Explains the Gruesome Reason Behind His Hospitalization

After canceling Friday's Tonight Show taping, host Jimmy Fallon took to Twitter with his good hand to explain the injury that landed him in the hospital.

"Tweeting with one hand," Fallon said, posting a pic of his bandaged left arm.

The official Tonight Show Twitter account announced the comedian’s injury early Friday, writing that "tonight's taping has been cancelled due to Jimmy injuring his hand," but assuring fans that the host was "totally fine." Fallon’s later tweets explained the unfortunate injury.

"Tripped and caught my fall (good thing)!" the host tweeted. "Ring caught on side of table almost ripped my finger off (bad thing)."

"I'm doing well and thanks for good wishes everyone," Fallon wrote later, adding that he was "#drugged" and "#blessed."
