The Reason Rachel Bilson Named Her Daughter Briar Rose

Fans of Sleeping Beauty have some clue as to why Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen named their 10-month-old baby Briar Rose.

Hayden appeared on Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family along with Kate Bosworth, to talk about their new movie, 90 Minutes in Heaven, and also opened up about the origin of his daughter’s unique name.

"There is a Disney reference there," he confessed. "The original Sleeping Beauty was called Briar Rose."

Hayden said that Rachel is such a big Disney fan, and was the main reason Briar's name came to be.

"We both love all things Disney, but Rachel especially was very keen on the name," said Hayden.

Rachel and Hayden have been dating since 2007, and had their first child together in late 2014.

The 34-year-old former O.C. star often posts sweet family pictures on Instagram, including this one of Hayden, 34, with the caption, "Lookin' mighty fine."
