"I missed you even while you were here," the singer wrote.

JoJo’s father, Joel Levesque, died at age 60 on Saturday.

Following his death, the 24-year-old singer shared a throwback photo of her dad giving her a big hug alongside a moving tribute to him.

"I missed you even while you were here,” she captioned the Instagram post on Saturday. “I will miss you infinitely more now that you're gone. Thank you for holding on as long as you did. I know you tried your best.”

“You are free now. I will love you always, Dad. I can feel you with me. Rest now. In PEACE. I miss your voice. I wish more people could have heard it. I promise I will keep singing for you."

JoJo, real name is Joanna Levesque, recently began her musical comeback. In August, she dropped a tringle, a collection of three singles, which included the song “When Love Hurts.” The trio of tunes were her first released since her 2006 hit, “Too Little Too Late,” as the Massachusetts native found herself in a years-long legal battle with her record label that kept her out of the spotlight.

"I was kind of in limbo for a long time where I wasn't able to officially release music, there wasn't distribution, and I was just caught in the crossfire of that," she told ET in September. "My fans really stuck by me they started a Free JoJo campaign on social media. It really kept me going and kept me feeling like I could do this and get out on the other side, so with some great lawyering and some perserverence and belief, I am on the other side.”
