Adele is unstoppable.
After industry forecasters predicted her album, 25, would sell 2.9 million copies in a week, she surpassed that number with 3.38 million copies, according to Nielsen Music.
The total is the largest single sales week for any record since 1991, when Nielsen started tracking the point-of-sale of music.
The “Hello” singer made headlines last week after 25 passed *NSYNC’s No Strings Attached record earlier in the week. Both albums are the only in Nielsen history to sell over 2 million copies in one week.
The super star even stopped by The Tonight Show, where she joined Jimmy Fallon and The Roots to perform “Hello” with classroom instruments. Did we mention the results were amazing?
