After taking second place to Jennifer Lawrence as the world’s highest-paid actress last year, Scarlett Johansson is officially Hollywood's new box-office queen.
According to Box Office Mojo
, the 31-year-old star is the highest grossing actress of all time, with her films raking in more than $3.3 billion worldwide.
Johansson's box office feat is due in part to this year's roles in Captain America: Civil War
, which grossed over $400 million, and The Jungle Book
, at $358 million.
Her biggest film so far, has been 2012's The Avengers
, which brought in $623.4 million.
The native New Yorker's accomplishment doesn't end there, aside from being the only woman in the Top 10 she's also the youngest among her male counterparts, which include Harrison Ford, Samuel Jackson, Tom Hanks, and her Captain America: Civil War co-star, Robert Downey Jr.
Though the roster may be overwhelmingly male, Johansson isn't the only woman to be acknowledged for her box office brawn. Cameron Diaz landed at No. 13 with $3 billion in revenue, Helena Bonham Carter came in at No. 26, Cate Blanchett snagged the No. 29 spot, followed by Julia Roberts at No. 30.
On a more personal note, Johansson recently opened up about her 2011 divorce from Ryan Reynolds. Watch the video below to find out what she says ended the relationship.
