So you’re saying there’s a chance.

After the R-rated comedy Deadpool received two Golden Globe nominations, Ryan Reynolds is now throwing the film’s name into the hat for Best Picture at this year’s Academy Awards.

The 40-year-old actor kicked off the Oscar season with a hilarious “For Your Consideration” video posted to his Twitter account on Thursday. The video gives fans an inside look at just how much work went into the film, but with the same sarcastic humor that made Deadpool such a hit in the first place.

“600lbs. of chimichangas,” the video begins. “four pairs of a**less chaps, 12 humiliating minutes, 117 script pages, 465 ad libs, two nerds, four magical unicorns, three good walls and a fourth that’s broken.”

“42 rejection letters from FOX,” the video jokingly continues. “one leaked video, and 783 million fans.”

Deadpool
didn’t take home any Golden Globes, but Reynolds was nominated for Best Actor and the film was nominated for Best Musical or Comedy.
