'World of Dance' Renewed For Season 2, Jennifer Lopez & Derek Hough Celebrate on Social Media
World of Dance is coming back for more!
After airing five episodes of the new dance competition series, NBC renewed World of Dance for a second season on Thursday.
Judges Jennifer Lopez and Derek Hough took to social media to share their excitement about the renewal.
"Let's DANCE!! @NBCWorldofDance will be back for SEASON TWO!??," J.Lo tweeted alongside a video of the cast. The 47-year-old singer also released a statement about how happy she was that audiences love the show.
"I am so proud to not only star, but produce a show that is so close to my heart,'" Lopez said in a statement. "I am so happy that World of Dance has resonated with audiences and we are able to put dancers on the pedestal they deserve. I cannot wait to continue this journey and my partnership with NBC."
"EP!!!! SEASON 2 BABY!!!! It's happening!!," Hough wrote on Instagram. "So incredibly thankful and happy to see the amazing art form that is Dance succeed! @jlo @neyo @jennadewan #nbc @nbcworldofdance."
Meanwhile, host Jenna Dewan-Tatum also shared the news via Twitter.
World of Dance sees dancers in three divisions get judged based on five different categories: performance, technique, choreography, creativity and presentation. For highlights from the show, watch below.
